📅 Tuesday, October 9, 2024
🕕 6:00 - 7:30 PM
📍 Husky Union Building (HUB) Room 334
Preparing for job interviews in 2024 can be challenging, but with this workshop, you'll learn invaluable insights and tools to approach the process confidently.
We’ll cover key topics such as researching and networking, dress code expectations, and navigating the stages of the interview process, from initial screenings—in person, over the phone or while on Zoom, Teams or Google Meets—to behavioral questions, with strategies for preparation. We'll focus on what recruiters and hiring managers are looking for and how to effectively position your skills and put your best foot forward. We’ll also explore how AI is changing the way resumes are evaluated and how you can stay competitive in today’s evolving job market.
After the session, you'll have the mindset of patience and persistence to confidently navigate a job search process that will serve you well, whether it’s a candidate market or an employer market.
This will be an interactive workshop, so please come prepared to share your thoughts and ideas with others in attendance.
