ABOUT US
SEBA strives to be the premier organization for developing science and engineering students into business professionals, and to which business leaders come to engage students.
The Science & Engineering Business Association (SEBA) is a student-led 501(c)(6) non-profit organization founded in 2000 and is a registered student organization at the University of Washington.
SEBA's mission is to provide professional development and career opportunities to science & engineering students through education, networking, and practical experience.
What We Do
-
Provide information about potential professional opportunities and exposure to the real world of business conveyed through our events, website, and newsletter.
-
Offer education, training, and hands-on experience that will help members build skills and knowledge in areas such as business models, leadership, networking, entrepreneurship, consulting, sales, and interviewing.
-
Act as a nexus for science and engineering students, educators, professionals, and businesses for establishing unique contacts that will help our members gain access to exceptional professional opportunities.
Held in partnership with the UW Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship, the STS allows student teams to explore the commercialization potential of their science and technology-based ideas, and network with fellow science, engineering, and business students, as well as with a panel of judges.
